The BIG Picture

A jigsaw puzzle is gotten from a picture which is cut into different smaller sizes. The aim of the game is to get the small pieces together to form the big picture. In a way, I believe life is like a jigsaw puzzle with different pieces and one big picture. Today, we will be sharing two main lessons using this concept of a jigsaw puzzle. I hope you enjoy it.

Now to the first point I want to make. If you look at the picture below, you will realize that the puzzle in progress does not look so much like the big picture. What does this say to us? I believe it refers to phases in our lives, when we look at our lives and it does not look anything like what God has promised. His word speaks of “Great and Mighty” things for you, but all you see is “Small and Lowly” tasks. At this times, all that we see is scattered pieces and life seems too disjointed to make any sense.

Jigsaw

The thing about a jigsaw puzzle and with life (in a way) is that the current picture may not look anything like the big picture. If anything, it might seem like the opposite. However, if we hold on and keep taking things one step at time. If we keep putting things together one piece at a time. If we keep trusting God and refusing to give up. Then one day, we will be able to look (back) and understand what God was doing. One day, you will see that the struggles you were facing were important ingredients for the success you were chasing. One day, there will be an understanding that the scattered pieces you thought made up your life were actually vital parts of the masterpiece that God was making. It is my prayer that God will help us to be patient and to wait even when things don’t make sense. Amen.

For the second and final lesson, if you look closely at the picture, you  will see that there is a blueprint which the player is working towards. If the player does not have the blueprint, then it will be difficult, if not impossible for the player to reproduce the image. Now, the blueprint of your life is with God, and indeed, in God. He alone knows what He created you for. People may have an opinion, but God has the big picture. Everyone has an opinion on decisions like what course you should study and ultimately about who you should be, but only God has the blueprint in His hands. So, if you want to know what the building called “YOUR LIFE” should look like, then please go before the architect and ask. Go to GOD in prayers and ask for a picture of your future. Only when you find Him, can you find yourself!

The key points once again. Firstly, “You may not look like your tomorrow now”; don’t despair, God is at work. Secondly, “Your creator has the picture of your future with Him and in Him”; seek Him and find yourself!
.
Are there other lessons you want to share from this concept, please feel free to do so. Thanks for reading and God bless you. Amen. Have a splendid week!

  1. One step at a time with/in God will always get us to the final destination. This is great! More grace and anointing from God I pray for you Ire.

  2. He is putting everything together and though we see the scattered pieces, we should trust Him- trust His work and rest in His Sovereignty and remain in Him. In His timing, it will finally all make sense and you will see the bigger picture- maybe not all of the piece but a big chunk of it. Life is an ever- changing process. It changes from time to time and so do the construction work keep changing and the beautiful thing about God is that He unveils it to us bit by bit. He is a God who loves surprising us. Aramanda ni Olorun. We can’t limit Him or predict Him.

Great write-up brother. Very much needed for me at this time.
