The word of God is described as a lamp for our feet and a light on our paths (Psalm 119:105). Intermittently, over the course of the next few weeks, we’ll be trying to shine God’s searchlight on different issues. The approach, for now, will be to put up Bible verses that speak about the topic under consideration. I pray that God speaks to you and meets you at the point of your need. Amen.
From time immemorial, people have been faced with decisions. However, making a choice is not always straight forward due to the alternatives available. One of the things God promised is that: “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest…will never cease” (Genesis 8:22). This means that for every choice (seed), there will be a consequence (harvest). I don’t know what phase of life you are in, but chances are that you have decisions to make. So, without further ado, let me share some verses that I believe will help you at this junction and indeed at every junction.
Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”
Psalm 32:8: The Lord says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
Jeremiah 6:16: This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls…
Isaiah 30:20-21: …your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Finally, one of my favorite verses. Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him and He will direct your paths.
I hope you find these verses helpful. Please go over them and note them down if you can in order to maximize the benefits. Also, I am looking forward to your comments on other verses that you consider relevant to this topic. Thank You!
