Happy 1st Blog-Versary!!!

This day last year, I finally opened my blog. I had been suffering from a chronic case of paralysis by analysis, a state of over-thinking that usually prevents anything from being done. For weeks before that, I had been reading and learning about running a blog. I wondered if I was capable of meeting the demands that would come my way. What would I write? How would I be consistent? Would I get bored and stop writing? What if nobody reads, what happens next? I thought and thought and thought, but on the 6th of July 2016, I eventually started.

There are some “rivers” in life like river Jordan that would not part until we put a foot in at the Lord’s command. Over the last 12 months, I have learnt that when Christ is lifted up, He will draw all men to Himself. I have also learnt that “I am not sufficient in myself to claim anything for myself, but my sufficiency is of God.”

Today’s post is my 50th. Whoop whoop. There has been one book: Men of Like Passions. We have had four series; Letter to my Younger Self, Back to the Roots and Writing for a Change should strike a chord. There have been reflections like Heaven’s Verdict, The Scriptwriter and Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook among others. We would also do well to remember fictional stories like How I attended the wrong wedding, Fighting Temptations and Onise Iyanu: My Miracle Worker.

I know it can be difficult having to scroll through several pages just to read a story, so I am giving you a gift today. If you scroll down, you will see a list of all the posts thus far. All you have to do is select what you want to read and pronto, you are there. I really hope it helps improve your reading experience.

Now, as a new year begins, like Elijah, I hear the sound of abundance of rain. I really believe that God has so much in store for us. I trust Him to grant us access to His mind. To the deep things of God. I sincerely pray that God will help me to be a faithful son, steward and scribe. Amen. Thank you very much for the encouragement and prayers. I can’t thank you enough. E se! Daalu! Na gode! ❤
