SERVING GOD WITHOUT FEAR

SERVING GOD WITHOUT FEAR

TEXT: LUKE 1:74; 1 JOHN 4:18; 4:7-8; JOHN 8:31-32; JOHN 14:6

Luke 1:74- To grant us that we being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear.

1 John 4:18- There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out all fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. Continue reading “SERVING GOD WITHOUT FEAR”

REST

REST

TEXT: GENESIS 2:2

Genesis 2:2- And on the seventh day, God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done

In the story of Creation, God worked for six days and then He rested on the seventh. This tells us clearly that WORK PRECEDES REST. That is the correct order and the perfect example that God laid down for us from the beginning of time. Do not be deceived by anyone for any reason that rest can take place before work. LORD, TEACH ME WHAT I SEE IN YOU

LORD, TEACH ME WHAT I SEE IN YOU

TEXT: LUKE 11:1

Luke 11:1-One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When He finished, one of His disciples said to Him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples’ Continue reading “LORD, TEACH ME WHAT I SEE IN YOU”

KNOW YOUR GOD

KNOW YOUR GOD

TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 17:45B

But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defiled.

As young as David was in the passage, he knew the God of Israel. Even though all the men of Israel who went to battle did not know their God, David who was not qualified to be in the army knew his God- the God of Israel; and with this knowledge he was able to gain victory for his people. HE KNOWS WHAT IS NEXT

HE KNOWS WHAT IS NEXT

Exodus 15:22-27

In the exodus of the Israelites, they had some issues in the way and the people grumbled against their leader (not knowing that they grumbled against God). But I observed here that at every point when the people had something to complain about, God spoke to their leader. This means that when God calls any man to carry out an assignment for Him, He will not leave him without any ideas on what to do. As long as that person always goes back to God who called in the first place, then there will be a definite answer. Continue reading “HE KNOWS WHAT IS NEXT”

FAITHFULNESS

FAITHFULNESS

TEXT: PSALM 44:1-26

Psalm 44:1- We have heard with our ears, O God our fathers have told us, the deeds you did in their days, in the days of old…

Psalm 44:4-5- You are my king, O God; command victories for Jacob. Through you we will push down our enemies; through your name we will trample those who rise up against us.

Psalm 44:13- You make us a reproach to our neighbors. A scorn and a derision to those all around us.

Psalm 44:17- All this has come upon us, but we have not forgotten you, nor have we dealt falsely with your covenant.

What the Psalmist described in this verse is what I call FAITHFULNESS. From the first verse, the psalmist talked about the wonderful things they heard from their forefathers. The great things God did in the time of old. From verse 4, he started talking about his expectations from the same God which He heard about. He put his hope and trust in Him. But verse 9-10 describes their sour experience with God. Continue reading “FAITHFULNESS”

GOD IS EVERYWHERE, EVEN IN THE CREVICE OF YOUR HEART

GOD IS EVERYWHERE, EVEN IN THE CREVICE OF YOUR HEART

TEXT: DEUTERONOMY 1:27

Deuteronomy 1:27- And you complained in your tents and said, “Because the Lord hates us, He has brought us out of the land of Egypt to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us”

The Israelites grumbled/complained against God in their tents/houses. They did not come out to say it to anyone yet God heard it. Continue reading “GOD IS EVERYWHERE, EVEN IN THE CREVICE OF YOUR HEART”
